GET CHECKED!

As the calendar moves closer to the big ride and the fundraising continues, there is one thing I can't believe that I haven't stressed enough....

GET CHECKED!!!

Women - now is the time!  Get all your girly bits checked...every one of them! Top to bottom

Men - get all your manly bits checked...every one of them!  Top to bottom.

Because seriously, I don't want to see your name on my list.  I really don't.  It takes something out of me when I have to add a new name to that damn list.  And the list continues to grow and you all know from a previous post how I feel about that.

So do everyone you know a favour and get checked.  Please.  I beg you.

And if you don't like going to the doctor, then take someone with you so you aren't alone.  But take that step and get checked.

I'm taking my own advice....my mammogram appointment is on Friday morning.

F*CK CANCER

4 months ago I started a list.  Not a fun list either.  Soon after my friend Jennifer passed away, someone else I knew passed away from cancer.  So I added her name to the list.  Then I heard that somebody else was back in treatment so I added their name to the list.  Then I thought about the survivors I knew and added their names to the list.  Then when I was asking for donations, I let donors know that if they had a loved one who was afflicted with this disease, I would add their name to the list.  The list has gotten longer and longer each day and just yesterday I had to add another name.

I am no longer riding for Jennifer and myself anymore.  Now I'm also riding for Margaret, Harvey, Irma, Vicky, Douglas, Cheryl, Rene, Lori, Julia, Helen, Olive, Jim, Diane, Victor, Tosh, Yoshiko, Barbara, Patty, Barbara, Carmel, Nalin, Stacey, Norma, Teresa, Beatrice, Rob, Shirley, Susan, Catherine, Camilla, Maureen, Alex, Devki and Gail.

It's enough now!  Cancer has affected too many people and it's enough!  I don't like adding names to my list.  In fact I hate it!  I get angry when I think about it.  A couple of weeks ago, I received a new bracelet from my buddy Alexis and it has become my motto:  F*CK CANCER!

So join me in the fight to say F*CK CANCER.  Let's find the cure and kick cancer to the curb so that no one else has to be added to my list.  Let's find the cure so that all those people in treatment on my list can be added to the Survivor group.  Let's find the cure so that no one else has to make a list.

F*CK CANCER!
